- Reinstated the House model, which allows teachers to collaborate and provide direct attention to individual student needs
- Added world language and culture exploratory class for all 7th graders
- Expanded world language program, so all 8th grade students are exposed to a foreign language
- Created a 9 week technology/pre-engineering pilot class for all 6th – 8th graders
- Developed additional sections of accelerated math
Intermediate School and Schumann Elementary School Results:
- Continued K-5 literacy training and support
- Maintained reasonable class sizes, especially at Schumann where class size is most important to the learning atmosphere
- Established a science/engineering pilot class for all 3rd – 5th graders.

- Sustained and expanded ‘Character Counts’ curriculum, including anti-bullying efforts
- Provided professional development in individualized learning plans for faculty
