Third Annual Spartan Summer Social
Thursday, August 20th @ Iron Exchange, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. (raffle & live music 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.)
Bring your family and gather with friends for the 3rd Annual Spartan Summer Social! Enjoy a summer evening on the patio at Iron Exchange with live music from The NightCaps from 6–8 p.m. and plenty of good food, drinks, and Spartan spirit. Even better, Iron Exchange will donate 10% of all pizza and beer purchases back to Orono Schools! It’s the perfect way to slow down, reconnect with friends, and enjoy one of those last great summer evenings together. Stop by anytime and stay as long as you’d like. We hope to see you there!
Welcome to Orono: New Parent Social

New to Orono Schools this year? Join us at Carbone’s in Long Lake to grab a bite, have a drink, and meet other parents who are also getting to know Orono. Some returning parents will be present as well to share tips, traditions, and the little things that make Orono special. No agenda or presentation – Just good conversation and a chance to start building your Orono community. Come when you can. Stay as long as you’d like. We’d love to meet you!
Community Homecoming Tailgate
Friday, October 2nd @ Orono High School & Activity Center, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Don’t miss the Tailgate tradition! Kick off Homecoming night with a free, family-friendly celebration packed with food trucks, lawn games, bouncy houses, face painting, crazy hair, Orono swag, and a whole lotta Spartan spirit! Bring the family, grab your friends, and join us before heading over to cheer on the Spartans as they take on Zimmerman in the Homecoming Football Game.
Spartan Spirit Night
Thursday, January 28th @ Slick City in Maple Grove, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Get the mid-winter wiggles out with friends at Spartan Spirit Night! Last year this event raised over $4,000 for Orono Schools thanks to Slick City. Let the kids loose to slide and bounce around with friends while parents get time to relax and connect with other parents in the Orono Community. If you’re free, slide on in anytime between 4-8pm.
Spartan Soirée (aka The Bash)
Join us for the Spartan Soirée, the Orono Foundation’s signature fundraising event. It is an evening to gather with friends, celebrate Orono Schools, and have a whole lot of fun along the way! Enjoy a strolling dinner, drinks, games, auctions, and more—all while raising funds that directly support students and teachers across Orono. It’s our biggest night of the year, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! (Tickets will go on sale in February 2027)
