We are excited to announce that for the first time ever, the Orono Foundation for Education and all of our Orono parent associations (PTO, OMSPA, SPA) are partnering on ONE parent communication opt-in process and FREE online parent directory for the entire district. This gives parents a one-stop-shop for communications and prevents the need to submit information to multiple forms.
Communications: By registering, you are automatically opted-in to receive communications from OFE and your parent associations (note: you can click the box to opt-out if desired). You will only receive communications related to your student’s school. Don’t miss important insight into what is happening!
Parent Directory: When you register you will also be able to determine if you want to be included in the District-Wide Parent Directory, and if so, exactly what information you want visible. All verified parents will have free access to the District-Wide Directory online. The directory can help with birthday invitations, playdates/hangouts, holiday cards, graduation cards, connecting with other parents, etc.
The directory is only accessible to parents who have an account and are verified with the Orono School District. The information provided is never given out to external organizations, and access is password-protected. For questions, check out the FAQ page.
You can still purchase a printed copy of the directory if desired. Orders must be submitted by October 1st.
UpdatE / VERIFY FAMILY Info
Due to MN State Law, parents must verify contact information and update communication preferences every school-year. If you already have an account, follow the steps below to verify/update your information:
- Login HERE (click on ‘I forgot my password’ to reset if needed).
- Click on the blue ‘Update Personal Info’ button on the top of the page.
- Verify/update parent information and communication preferences.
- Verify/update student information.
- Determine publishing preferences for the District-Wide Parent Directory.
- Click ‘Save’
CREATE AN ACCOUNT
If you are new to the District or have not registered for the directory in the past, follow the steps below to create your account:
- Go to the Login page
- Click on ‘Create an Account’
- Enter name and email address
- Open email from Membership Toolkit to verify
- Click on link in email to redirect to Family Information page
- Enter parent contact information and communication preferences
- Enter student information
- Determine publishing preferences for the District-Wide Parent Directory
- Click ‘Save’
Note: your account will be ‘Pending’ until users are verified with the Orono School District Office.
