FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Individual tickets and VIP packages will be available on this website in early March, 2026.
Yes! We are limited on occupancy at Birch’s and do not have the ability to sell more tickets than the space will allow. We also spend a lot of time preparing a personalized experience for each of our guests which prevents us from selling tickets at the door.
The Bash is an incredible evening of community, laughter, fundraising, good food, music, dancing and games!
- Entertainment for the evening will include high school student performances, live band, short program/video presentation, Heads and Tails, luxury purse raffle, live auction, silent auction, photo booth, and more!
- Attire for the Bash at Birch’s will be Orono spiritwear or any red and blue you can find. We hope to pack the house in spartan colors! Still feel like dressing up? Please do! More comfortable in jeans? All styles of spartan pride are welcome. Willing to wear the mascot suit? Email us!
- Complimentary valet parking will be available for all guests. Tips are encouraged.
- Food and beverage for the evening will include heavy passed appetizers, variety of food stations, signature welcome drink as well as access to the no-host bars on both levels (cash and credit cards accepted).
- Seating for individual ticket holders will be open. VIP package purchases will include a reserved booth.
- Guests will want to bring a credit card (for the bar and donation payments), a fully charged cell phone (for the auction), dancing shoes and energy for a great night of FUNdraising!
Proceeds from the Bash are placed into the Foundation’s Annual Fund. Contributions to the Annual Fund are invested into Orono Schools each year to support immediate needs and fill gaps in the budget due to state funding shortfalls and inflation.
Local tax dollars are distributed evenly among school districts across the state based on number of students enrolled in each district. The only dollars guaranteed to stay in our district are referenda funds approved by district voters and private donations to nonprofits that support the school, like the Foundation.
- The Foundation is the only organization that serves all students and teachers across the PreK-12 spectrum. This is one way that OFE differs from our parent organizations. Another difference is that the Foundation supports fundamental needs that take place behind-the-scenes related specifically to academics and operations.
- Donations to the Foundation support staffing, curriculum, resources and trainings that are not offered at schools of a similar size and make Orono a great place to learn and grow. This has included (but is not limited to) K-8 World Languages, K-5 Literacy Program, Pillars of Character, and the variety of AP course offerings that have resulted in Orono being rated one of the Top Traditional High School in Minnesota.
